Meeting on Field Experience Evaluation of Islamic Guidance and Counseling Study Program
The implementation of the BIGC Field Experience Practice activities at partner institutions has been running for almost 2 months since 5 September 2022. The BIGC Field Experience Practicelocations are spread across 21 locations in DIY and 1 location in Malaysia. BIGC students carry out direct practice of Islamic guidance and counseling in various government and private institutions such as rehabilitation centers, KUA, correctional institutions, and madrasas.
Tuesday, November 1, 2022, the BIGC invited representatives of field supervisors from 21Field Experience Practice locations in DIY to carry out an evaluation. The evaluation meeting was chaired by the Head of the BKI Study Program, Mr. Slamet, S.Ag., M.Si along with the Secretary of the BKI Study Program, Mr. Zaen Musyrifin, M.Pd.I and was attended by the Field Supervisor Lecturers and the representatives of the field supervisors.
On that occasion, the Head of BIGC explained that the Field Experience Practice activity was one of the activities aimed at developing the counseling competence of students as prospective counselors in schools/madrasahs or in institutions; which must be taken by every student in one semester with a weight of 5 credits. The main objective of Field Experience Practice is that students can learn about how to implement various theories obtained during lectures and learn about the implementation of counseling in dealing with various problems related to the counselee (client) at the PPL location.
During the evaluation, the representatives of each partner institution seemed very enthusiastic in participating in the activities; because the Field Experience Practice activities of the BIGCcan help program activities held in each institution concerned, and it is hoped that there will be an increase both in terms of quality and quantity of students involved in the Field Experience Practice program in the future.
At the end of the event, the Head of the BIGC hoped that this Field Experience Practice activity could be followed up in the form of signing a collaboration between the BIGC and all Field Experience Practice institutions in activities that support the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education. . The results of the meeting contained an evaluation of the implementation of Field Experience Practice in each location and the submission of suggestions from the field supervisor as consideration for improving the BKI study program curriculum in general and BIGC Field Experience Practice activities in particular.
