Bachelor of Islamic Guidance and Counseling Following FIBAA International Accreditation

The Islamic Guidance and Counseling Study Program along with 17 study programs from Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University participated in an international accreditation field assessment (AL) from the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA). FIBAA is an internationally oriented European agency for quality assurance and development in higher education based in Germany. FIBAA is an international accreditation agency registered with the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. The Navy is held in 2 stages, stage 1: October 18-20 2022, and stage 2: October 26-27 2022.

BKI Study Program together with 3 other study programs in one cluster, namely: BIGCand BIDCfrom the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication; and 2 other study programs in Communication Science and Sociology from the Faculty of Social Humanities, taking an assessment in phase 2 (26-27 October 2022).

There are 8 assessors in the Navy, namely: Prof. Dr. Ralf Andersson, Prof Dr. Sonja Drobnic, Prof. Dr. Michael Haefner, Prof. Dr. Fritz Schulze, S Rouli Manalu, Ph. D., Cristoph Sodemann, Mehlia Arioez and Maya Koehler (Project Manager).
On the first day, the assessment was in the form of a presentation from the university leadership delivered by the Chancellor of UIN Sunan Kalijaga, Prof. Dr. Al Makin, along with the Dean of FDK Prof. Dr. Hj. Marhumah M.Pd. Next was an interview with the management (BKI Study Program) which in this case was responded by the Head of BIGC: Slamet S.Ag., M.Si and A. Said Hasan Basri, M.Si as the previous Head of Study Program. The next interview session with educational staff represented by 3 lecturers, namely: Zaen Musyrifin, S.Sos.I, M.Pd.I; Reza Mina Pahlewi, M.Pd, and Arya Fendha Ibn Shina, M.Sc.

On the first day this was the last interview session with students and alumni. The students were represented by the 2 best students from the 2019 batch, namely: Teguh Prasetya Nursahid and Rara Eka Yurika. While the interviews with alumni were represented by: Okti Inayaturohmah, S.Sos who works as a counseling teacher at a junior high school in Kulonprogo Yogyakarta, and Agness Noorfebria, S. Sos who works as a Ustadzah / Musyrifah at an Islamic Boarding School in Kotagede Yogyakarta.

Meanwhile, on the second day, a round tour was held in order to see the supporting facilities or educational facilities, and an interview was added to the education staff as a supporting system. Units or institutions that become supporting systems in the education process include: UPT Library, PLD, Cendi, PTIPD, BIGCLaboratory, Islamic Counseling Clinic (KKI), Head of BIGC, Slamet S.Ag. M.Si, stated that: in general, the importance of international accreditation is an effort to improve the quality of education in higher education, so that it can be recognized and recognized internationally; In turn, lecturers and students will be required to have international experience both in publishing scientific papers and research. On other occasions, it is hoped that there will be innovative activities in the form of student exchanges, collaborative research, guest lecturers and so on.

This field assessment ends with the closing of the accreditation on Thursday, October 27, 2022 pk. 19.00 at the PAU office, Saifuddin Zuhri Building. The closing was carried out by the Chancellor of UIN Sunan Kalijaga, Prof. Dr. Al Makin, as well as the "gift" of MURI's record for the achievement of the highest number of study programs carrying out FIBAA international accreditation simultaneously (18 study programs).
